Prince William & Kate Middleton Royal Wedding: Watch Live Online Here

Although I have a TV at home and we can all watch the Royal wedding of the century between Prince William and Catherine Middleton tomorrow at 3pm Malaysian time, on 12 Astro Channels and also free TV Ntv7, I think I prefer to watch the live broadcast online.

Prince William is obviously every girl's dream man but many of us who are not British, dare not even dream of being his "princess". Well, the day has come for him to marry and after months since he announced his engagement to Kate Milddleton, his university mate, it's time for millions of hearts to be broken. SIGH!!!

So like all the other royal suckers, I will probably be watching Prince William marry Kate Middleton at 3pm Malaysian time, that's 10am London time, and less than 17 hours more to go.

Housewarming Gift Basket

One of my friends has just purchased her first house. She has invited me to her housewarming party slated for next week and I have accepted her invitation. However, since then, I have been working what I should buy. I definitely cannot go empty handed!

My sister suggested a fruit basket for housewarming. She said it's very appropriate. She should know since she attended quite a few over the past few months! I am going to take her advice since I have these CherryMoonFarms discount codes. I can make use of them and save myself some money. Times are slow; a penny saved is a penny earned!

How To Catch A Mouse

I think I spotted a mouse going in and out of my mother's room. This only happened since my neighbour's house was under renovation. I think all the movement has caused mice from that house to cross over to our property.

And so the other day I bought a mouse trap for RM8.50. After three days, I was not able to catch the mouse even though I saw its shadow running about the room! Now, I am thinking of buying mouse glue. I don't really like to use the glue because it will hurt the mouse or possibly kill it but what can I do? Mouse is pest and I am afraid that cohabiting with the will cause us to fall ill.

Moreover, I once got to know a guy who was bitten by a mouse when he was asleep and he was sick and had to be hospitalized for three weeks! And since then, he was not feeling well anymore. That's scary!!!

Beating the Flab

My cousin brother, who is in his final year college, told me that he is sick and tired of being called "fat". I wouldn't say that he's fat, but he is definitely bigger than normal. ell, I'd say this is the right time to start on grooming himself and making himself more presentable since he'll be meeting prospective employers once he graduates.

My cousin is working very hard and because he wants to do this in the shortest time possible, he is going to need the help of supplements. I help him read up on hemo rage black reviews so that I know how safe it is for him to include it in his diet.

Junkyard House

I am in the midst of clearing out my room and once done, the entire house. It will be a long on-going process and I am going to tackle this without sentiment, or at least try to achieve that. I am going to set my mind to discard without feeling as if I was moving away and I can only take along a limited number of items. Otherwise, I am never going to throw away anything!

As said, this will take up a lot of time and effort but I am not setting a time frame to it. After all, the "junk" has been accumulated over decades! But this is something that I have to do. I am a hoarder and I am making a great effort to change this bad habit otherwise I would be overwhelmed with move stuff in the near future!

Material Loss

Just when I thought that it has been a long time since I heard from my sister, i received an email from her. She says she has been busy and pulling longer hours at work because her colleague is on sick leave. Apparently, she was involved in a nasty accident. Luckily, she was not hurt in a major way, though one wouldn't believe it looking at her vehicle!

According to my sister, her colleague's holiday to Arizona was spoiled because of the accident and it was not her fault too! I hope that she has already engaged an experienced attorney tucson, Arizona, so that she would be duly compensated.

Even though I don't know her personally, I am glad that she only suffered material loss. Physical well-being is the most important!

Go Gopeng

In conjunction with the recent World Heritage Day, I have been reading about two Gopeng heritage properties in the papers. Gopeng is not very far from Ipoh, probably about 25 minutes, so I am planning to make a trip there to visit the Gopeng Muzium and Gopeng Heritage House.

It's strange that even with the close proximity, I never found a reason to visit Gopeng previously so taking time out to see something new, something different, would be great. Also, as far as I understand, Gopeng Heritage House is part of Gopeng Muzium, so it would be great if I get to see both places from the one trip that I am making.

Stay tuned, I may post some photos on my blog when I return! However, at this point, I don't even know when I will be going to Gopeng. LOL

Getting Compensation For Topamax

Since getting know about Topamax side effects and reading about an on-going Topamax lawsuit a few days ago, I have been asking friends if they know of anyone who has been prescribed with Topamax. While I do not know anyone personally, I believe that by actively spreading the news among friends and family, I am creating awareness among them regarding Topamax birth defects.

While birth defects are not reversible, I believe victims of Topamax should be assisted in getting compensation as much as possible. Only experienced and dedicated lawyers would be able to fight for maximum compensation for victims who have been impacted by Topamax.

If you know of anyone who is in such a situation and do not know where to turn, pass her the contact details of this law firm: O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949

Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM 2011)

I chanced upon an inspiration talk by Malaysia's own angkasawan, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, when I went to visit Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) on the first day of the event. This event is still ongoing at Stadium Indera Mulia but visits by Datuk Dr Sheikh are long over.

There's no denying that Dr Sheikh is so good looking, even my male friends say so! When they told me that there's a rumour going on that he bends the other day, I was very shocked. They say the whole country knows except me. SIGH!

Whatever the case, I am very inspired by his talk. I may be long over the age of his target group of audience, people who still have a long way to go in life, but still, I am going to make the best of what I have, trying to achieve what I could because mental strength is all that matters!

Meeting Mr. Prime Minister

I managed to catch PM Najib when he was in Ipoh to launch Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia or Amanah Saham Malaysia Investment Week (MSAM 2011) on 20th April, 2011 at Stadium Indera Mulia.

As a blogger, I have seen a lot of leaders of the State buy this was the first time I have seen the Prime Minister up close and personal. Of course, a leader is still just human but then, even if one does not respect the person, one has to respect his position, right?

Living in Ipoh, it's not easy for me to meet leaders of the country, but the only person that I would like to meet now is HRH the King. Will it be possible in my lifetime?

Topamax Side Effects

When I was caring for my dog which suffered from epileptic seizures almost his whole life, many people asked me why I didn't put him on medication. I have read about seizures extensively over the years and I came to the conclusion that medication doesn't really help much. In many cases, it could cause the patient to suffer from seizures even more frequently.

Epileptic seizures are very difficult to treat so I was aghast when I read that a medication for seizures could cause a woman patient to give birth to a baby with cleft lip or cleft palate. Imagine that! While trying to cure a person of an illness, a child is "injured"! The bad thing is that Topamax was even prescribed for migraine headaches!

I got to know about this from an ongoing Topamax lawsuit. It's a good reminder to try not to medicate oneself. Natural remedies are still the best. If you know of a victim of Topamax, do help him or her to contact: O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949

Sultan of Perak Birthday

It's the birthday of the Sultan of Perak today, so it's a public holiday. I had a dinner with my uncle and aunt yesterday at Impiana Hotel (formerly Casuarina Hotel, then Parkroyal Casuarina Hotel) because they came to Ipoh for the night since they have to leave for Kuala Kangsar early in the morning to attend the ceremony at the Istana.

So what do I do on a holiday? I have no idea, actually. i don't want to have a holiday. I'm happiest when I have work to occupy my time! Otherwise, I'd just end up sitting at the computer playing Facebook games. Sigh.... those games are just sucking up my time!

I hope that today, I'll finally kick myself enough to get started on clearing out some junk in my room. I need to throw away some old stuff as if I'm relocating. Will I be able to do it? I need to stop being sentimental!!

Long Lost ‘Cousin’

I visited my relative that I have lost touch with for so many years. My dad and her dad were cousins but the family ties broke off when her dad passed away a few years ago. In fact, I have never even met these children before.

When I went to her home, I was not surprised to see a cabinet full of sport trophies. According to her dad, his two daughters were very active in sports, especially taekwondo. When they got married and became mothers, they stopped their sporting activities. Looking at their physical shape now, you wouldn't know that they were taekwondo exponents!

I am glad that I got to meet her and her three siblings finally. We have planned this gathering for a long time but it's not easy to fit the schedule of so many people! I hope that now that we have finally met, we will continue to keep in touch, at least occasionally!

Learning Balloon Sculpting

I have a new interest and that's balloon sculpting. It's a very popular "art" for the past few years and although I have been fascinated by it, I never took the initiative to learn. I tried my hand at it for the first time yesterday and found that I actually don't have the aptitude for it! I wonder if it’s worth to pay money to attend a balloon sculpting class now that I know that I was born with ten thumbs….

This image that I have enclosed of a balloon bear, unfortunately, isn't one that I did myself. Oh well, my own is too ugly for public consumption!

Mole Removal

This week, I have been looking for a plastic surgeon in Ipoh to remove a facial mole. I had actually wanted to remove my facial mole for a long time but since it was not urgent, I procrastinated. This week, I decided to do it, finally.

There are only about three plastic surgeons in Ipoh; even though I didn't consult them, I know they are not affordable enough for me. So I decided to go to Ipoh General Hospital. I went to the outpatient clinic this morning to get a referral letter to the Dermatology Department.

I got the letter after a lengthy wait. My appointment is every Thursday but even though today is Thursday, I was late already and so, can only go to the specialist clinic next week. And even so, I would have to wait another few weeks for an appointment to actually remove the facial mole.

School Girls Make Pact To Get Pregnant Together

I recently read an old report on Time Magazine that said that 17 school girls in Massachusetts made a pact to get pregnant together, so that they would deliver and raise the babies together. I believe that I have read many things and heard about many things that happen in the United States that are pretty shocking bu this definitely takes the cake.

Camille Allen's Clay Babies

Their target are adult men in their mid-twenties and not their classmates! There was even a 24-year-old homeless man! Are these men going to support the babies? Do they even know that they are being trapped? Or crudely put, raped by these school girls? LOL

Reading this article, it's as if there are not enough single mothers in the United States. It's reported that this school has good childcare and health care facilities but does this mean that these school girls have to make use of them purposely? According to the report, this isn't the first time school girls have gotten pregnant, it's just the highest number of pregnancy.

Makes me wonder if there's anything wrong with the American education system....

I Survived April Fool's Day

April Fool's Day is over. I survived it because there was no pranks played on me. I think I didn't even meet with anyone cheeky enough to still play April Fool's pranks!

This year I remembered this significant day while reading the news and did not fall for any far-fetched news stories. Technology news reporters and companies always like to fool us on this day, and it's no crime. They are always releasing "rumours" and other outlandish speculations, anyway.

So no, I didn't buy any of their April Fool's stories, even though the Gmail Motion feature sounded quite funny. Imagine composing an email with just hand and body motions. It would have been funnier if they had brought in facial expressions as well!

Employee Personality Assessment Tests

I received an email message early this morning from a friend who told me that he was feeling down because he fired three employees at his company. My friend runs an online classifieds company and because he only has a small budget, he didn't run his employees through personality assessment tests.

Although I have no experience hiring staff, employee personality assessment tests are very important to any organization, even if it's a small one, and I think particularly for a small company. Effectively assessing each and every employee will help employers understand their strengths and weaknesses, discover their talents and better match them with various jobs within the organization.

This will help the company consistently and effectively recruit the right candidates, develop their talents and retain them as the company grows. As you can see, investment in human resources is extremely in any company, large or small.
