A new hotel in Ipoh has opened for business since about ten days ago. It's called "De Hotel" and it is located in Ipoh Garden. I passed by the hotel one evening and quickly snapped a photo of it with my mobile phone, hence the "noise" and I apologise for that!
This hotel looks like a three star hotel to me. The cheapest room is its single room at RM80++ per night. Suites are also available for about RM160++ to RM180++ per night. In contrast, one could stay in an apartment in a good location for about RM250 +/- a night though unlike staying in a hotel, one will not be served.

its indeed a very good hotel.. n its not any kind of 'bajet' hotel, its a boutique hotels. Outer looks is not important, but the hotel can be said the best designed hotel in ipoh. If you dont trust me, stay a night there and i bet you will love it. It all rooms has 32 plasma tv, mini bar, coffee making facility, air-conditioned, free wiFi , astro channels provided, clean rooms, beautiful designed bathroom, kingkoil beds and safety box provided inn selected rooms. It is also known as the one and only hotel with lift keycard system, without ur room cards u cant access the hotel floor at all. Can be said a well secured hotel. Eventhough no breakfast provided, its actually a convinient place where u can find many restaurants and food court by walking distance. I stayed there a few times and would like to go there again. Its worth! trust me.
