Still Looping!

Oh my God, can you believe that I am still looping the three Goong Korean drama soundtracks on my player? When I first came across these tracks, it was way back in June last year. How time flies. How many things have happened since then?

I love those songs and I still do. Nothing else comes close for the time being.

Unfortunately, I do not have the time anymore to watch Korean dramas so I am unable to discover new songs and so I just continue to loop the songs. Hey they easily beat Billboard's Top 100, you know?

Ahhh the luxury of watching dramas. Those were the days!

They Write The Songs That Make The Whole World Sing

Years ago, I really enjoyed a Chinese song that was sung by many big name Hong Kong singers for charity, much like the song We Are The World, with America's greatest pop stars, calling themselves Voices For Africa and coming together, collaborating for free to raise funds for Africa.

And being Chinese illiterate, till today, I don't even know the name of the song, but I was sent the video on YouTube recently, which I'm very thankful.

The explanation of the video, and who sang which part, are in THIS POST, which unfortunately I can't read.

After twenty years, these two songs can still move me. I can feel the raw emotions in the songs. Can you? They really do write songs that make the whole world sing.

Life, it's been said, is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Gone Old School

I used to think "This fella something wrong lah" when a friend told me that he loops one song on his player over and over again the whole day! And that song, Graham Gouldman's "Love's Not For Me", the soundtrack for Animalympics is not that special pun. At least I dont think so lah. Why doesn't he get bored wan??

Actually, he seached for it a looooong time ago and couldn't find it, until I came to his rescue. He was so appreciative. He says it sums up his life perfectly. Sigh ~ he is a diamond bachelor, after all.

But then, God save me, now there's something wrong WITH ME! For the past two days, I keep listening to Bay City Roller's "The Way I Feel Tonight" only. Don't know why I can't get enough of it.

Left Outside Alone

Nothing has changed since my post on 5th May, 06 and on 6th May, 2006. I don't think I committed such a huge crime to be treated this way. You said I'm rude, I say, you are MEAN. Is it my fault that you can't take a surprise? Fuck you.

At first, it was painful, VERY. It's like losing a limb, worse than death. But gradually, I'm learning to let go. It's not easy but I learn to cope. I will survive, like I always do. I will rise above it all, eventually. After all, I've been deprived all my life. So what is another thing snatched away?

So what if you deprive me of your friendship?

Perhaps I had only imagined that you and I shared a special closeness. Perhaps I had only imagined that our friendship is strong enough to weather any turbulence. Perhaps our chemistry was all a farce. Ahhhaa silly me. Now I know, it's not too late, I suppose.

So, how long has it been? How much more time do you need? You've been cold since the F1 weekend, and stopped communication entirely since 17th April, 2006. Is it time to bury you in the corner of my heart?

3 Songs I'm Currently Looping

I'm currently watching the K-drama called Goong (also known as Imperial Household or Princess Hours) and am totally in love with three of the songs from the official soundtrack.

I have saved these three songs into a playlist and loop this playlist in my player over and over again for like one week already and still not bored yet.

Normally, I will get bored but since these songs are in Korean, which I do not understand, I can listen to them the whole day without vomitting =)

I can loop my foreign-language songs but I cannot watch a movie over and over again, like a friend of mine who watched a movie from sunset to sunrise. If that movie was 2 hours long, that would be at least THREE (!) replays.

Another friend of mine watched Kill Bill Vol. 1 more than 10 times over a span of a month ... I bet he had already memorized the script from the first line to the last, including the lyrics for all soundtracks!
