Before Chinese New Year, I thought that this CNY would be an amazingly busy time for me. I am wrong. Things are so quiet here in Ipoh, it's as if it is not CNY!
I think it's because most events are happening outside of Ipoh, like the national CNY open house will be in Sitiawan. The Pakatan Rakyat CNY gathering, where Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim is slated to give a talk, will be held in Gopeng and Gerakan Perak CNY Open House will be in Taiping. Ipoh only hosted the Perak state level open house on the 1st day of Chinese New Year.
So it looks like I will have a few days free from running around until Sunday and then CNY 2012 just about wrapped up for me already.
