My mother and I escorted my aunt to university Hospital last week; as I mentioned in an earlier post, she was so sick, the doctors in Ipoh wrongly diagnosed her illness from stones in the gall to cancer in the heart. All these didn't help help her disposition at all. Like my uncle said, if the illness doesn't kill her, the fright would.
The three of us took an express down to KL and my uncle, who is based in KL, asked his driver to pick us up. Then we went to his house to freshen up and have lunch before proceeding to University Hospital. It was a long wait at the lobby for me but it was fine for me since I already know that I wouldn't be able to get anything done that day, travelling, and neither would I get my afternoon nap even though I only had three hours of sleep that night.
It was a rush for all of us since we only found out about the appointment with the specialist at 8am in the morning but still, we managed to get to KL before lunch. The reason I decided to go along was because my aunt was sick and couldn't carry her own luggage. Moreover, the two of them have not taken the express bus to KL for ages. At least, I am able to guide them since I have been down to KL a couple of times in recent months.
Anyway, I hope that with medical attention from a team of specialists, she will be on her way to recovery, though the recurrence of cancerous cells is worrisome.
