My friend bought an express bus ticket from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur this morning and he told me that there is STILL a 33% fuel surcharge! My friend did not take an express bus for a few months now, he said and after a few rounds of fuel price revision by 15sen and 10sen, and with the lower fuel price, he expected the surcharge to be scrapped, or at least lowered.
Well, I don't know. It used to be pretty economical to take an express bus down to Kuala Lumpur but it looks like this isn't the case anymore. Sometimes, if one has wasted too much time queuing for a ticket and time spent waiting for buses, it's even cheaper to drive down.
You remember that KTM has a RM10 train rides from Ipoh to KL Sentral? I understand that these RM10 for economy tickets are limited in numbers every day too. I wonder what is the actually ticket price if one did not manage to buy the cheap tix.
