Airlines Lower Fuel Surcharge

In a bid to stay competitive, a few airline companies have lowered their fuel surcharge, including MAS. Well, if they continue to keep their high fuel surcharge, no one would fly with them. People are already trying to cut expenses, including business flights.

Crude oil price fell below US$80 per barrel last week due to weaker demand but rose a little to close at slightly above US$80 which still means that crude oil price has fallen by US$60 per barrel in recent weeks.

And yes, flying is way cheaper now and more affordable. A friend of mine has, within this month alone, flew to Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines for holiday and then work. I wish I could sometimes live out of a suitcase myself.

I've been checking the website of Air Asia recently and their tickets are priced very competitively but one needs to buy them at the right time, particularly when they are running promotions. The price difference, if buying tickets at the wrong timing, could be great. Sometimes, you just feel like kicking yourself if you get "caught". LOL
