It is rather funny that my parents have a poor impression of people with tattoo. Well, I don't blame them because they grew up associating tattoos with bad hats and gangsters.
My generation, on the other hand, use tattoos as an expression of individualism, creativity and art form. However, so as not to alarm the folks, when my friends come over, I tell them to cover up their tattoos!
Personally, I love tattoos as well and my preferences are feminine designs like butterfly, floral or colorful heart designs but I am not prepared to endure the pain. I know, it's not painful but it's a mental fear that I am unable to overcome.
Moreover, I am such a fickle minded person that I am unable to decide which design I would want to have on my body FOREVER. Therefore, temporary tattoos are more suitable for me.
On the other hand, a friend of mine has an ultimate goal of tattooing his WHOLE body. I don't know how he is going to do that but he said he will and knowing him, he is someone who is crazy enough to go through it! Other friends are not as extreme and they only spot a couple of tattoos the most.
Luckily for them, in this day, tattoos are no longer looked upon in a bad light like my parents’ time.
