You know, I have been using international SMS to message Paul sometimes and Celcom charges MYR0.50 each. I think Maxis only charges MYR0.20. It could be very expensive if you use it for chatting. I usually use AIM and he will use his phone because he has subscribed to their mobile broadband service like our 3G also.
But since three months ago, when I subscribed to Celcom 3G at MYR99 per month, I totally cut off using international SMS. I could chat with Paul on Instango and with my sister on Fring. I could also cut down on my local SMS if my friend would log into his darn Fring but he doesn't want to because Fring consumers battery and he has no way to charge his batteries when he is out of the house lol
The other day, just logging into Fring without using it, three bars of my battery were gone for the seven hours it was on.
I would have used some other all-in-one mobile messengers but those are either subscription based programs OR they are unfriendly. I still cannot find a totally FREE all-in-one service programme. Do you know of any?
