Did you read the news article about the 39-year-old who got caught in the SMS scam and lost MYR1.7 million? I wonder, doesn't he ever read the newspapers all along? Younger people would have seen through the scam once they received such an SMS but not him. I guess it is true that victims of scam always get caught no thanks to their greed.
I am not going to rub salt into his wound, but what I find shocking is that, after losing so much money, most of the amount isn't his own, he still wants to give these scammers the latest MYR34,000 that they asked for.
I mean, HOW DUMB can people get???? It's a scam all through and he STILL wants to pay them? I guess I am not the only person who is speechless, though!
All these SMS messages about winning lucky draw or something are bullshit and yet there are people who would believe AND REMIT money not once, not twice but like in this case, to FIFTY different bank accounts!
