Part of my sister's work in her company is to recruit new people. She said that she has seen all sorts of people come in giving false information about themselves just so that they could secure a job. Her employer told her that she has to start checking their background so that at least they know who they are hiring.
While my sister could sympathize with the job applicants and understanding that some of them are desperately in need of work, she also has to abide by her company's new rule of checking their background. Of course, they are not going to hold their background against them but they want people who are honest.

I wondered aloud if it is at all possible to check someone's background given the fact that America is such a vast country and there are different legislatures in different states. My sister says that it is possible and they are using the services of USPublicRecords.com and BackgroundCheckDirectory.com.
Of course, the job applicants are not told that the company will be running background checks on them, though, which is just as well because not everyone will take it kindly! Just by running background checks via these two websites, personal records like marital status and criminal records, if any, would be revealed and naturally, some people would rather keep those information private!
