I received a couple of request from friends to sign n then petition against the rising crime rate in Johor Bahru in particular. This was sparked off from a recent rape case in the city.
All along, people have been aware of the rising crime incidents in Johor Bahru, no thanks to the influx of foreign workers. I am not sure if the police are doing anything to curb crime but what I know is that no matter what they are currently doing, IT IS NOT ENOUGH.
The Persekutuan Tiong-Hua Johor Bahru, which is organizing this signature drive, aims to receive at least a hindered thousand signatures by 24th June, 2007 not only from Johor Bahru residents but also from people from around the country.
