As I grow older, I have come to realise the importance to insurance. The other day, a friend of mine went into labor at a private hospital and it went a little complicated thane expected . Unfortunately she did not have any Maternity Insurance. Her husband had to go around asking us for a little loan here and there to cover the hospital bill first.
If she had a maternity insurance, she would have so much more benefits at a much lower cost like doctors visits, hospitalization, medication, sonograms and a whole lot more advantages when the baby arrives too.
We felt bad that at a joyous time like tat, the husband had to humbly pass the hat around. My friend vowed that she would get her maternity insurance the next time round!
