After my relatives' recommendation of Desa's Online Outlet Store, I surfed the site more and came across gas log heaters that would make a great gift for my sister's new home.
A vent-free natural gas log heater is what I am eyeing as it puts out three times more heat than normal gas logs or wood, heats up to 1,300 sq. ft. area and is 99% heat efficient. I believe this is well-worth the $399 I will be paying for.
I know my sister would be more than happy to have this from me and it will make a great addition to an already lovely home.
