It's now already the first week of July and most people already received their paycheques, so I asked my friend if he has made any plans to repay me. I didn't want to ask, but I had no choice since he did not mention it after getting paid.
Anyway, he told me he will pay me back in two instalments (MYR1000 each) from his July and August paycheques.
What I'm worried now is that he is still not a confirmed employee in his company despite the company saying that probation is six months. He started work in January, 2006.
It seems that his immediate boss will only let him know about his position in mid-July.
What if he is not confirmed? Then where will he find the money to repay me? But this friend told me that in Malaysia, once the time frame is up, the employee is automatically confirmed if the company did not let him know his position. Is this true ar?

But I thought an employee drawing salary above MYR5500 (?) per month is not protected under Malaysian Labour Law anymore? How lah then?

but then, if your fren doing good in the company, they cannot simply fire your fren one la.. dun so worry loh..
first, must collect July RM1k within these few days! must call him again ask him to bank-in today because you need the money.

i hate him more when he talk about his job confirmation, he just want to make you weak! dont fall into the trap!
dont accept any reason from him, his job confirmation still need to wait till mid of july, that is not a reason to not paying you 1k in these few days, just pay me back 1K first! must collect the 1k before 10 of july..
dont worry about his job, he is so good in acting, i am sure his bos love him! just collect your 1k these few days, the best is before weekend!!!

Seems like you are not willing to let go of this money huh.
Try relaxing and don't think about the money for some time. You might find a good way to get back the money later, but a worried mind is not good.
Not worth losing braincells over money that people owe you, because money are given by God, and without Him, you (and we) will not have any money. So don't worry, relax, and a good solution might crop up later.
p/s: If you were willing to lend so much money to this friend, won't he/she be a good friend to you? If so, have you considered letting it go?
Just my 2 cents. I respect that you have your own opinion. hehe... I don't mean money is not important ya, don't misunderstand. Letting go doesn't mean being sleezing about cash, but it's good for the mind. Consider it charity towards this friend la.
Pray for the friend. Pray for his heart and financial security. That's what he needs to repay you after all.
