A few friends asked if I would be catching Michael Jackson memorial service live on TV and I said no. I am not a huge fan but I did grow up listening to Michael Jackson and am quite familiar with his hit songs. I remember my sister and I trying to learn to sing Beat It and sing it as fast as Michael Jackson did.
Anyway, I ended up watching it since Snoopy wouldn't allow me to sleep. I watched it online from 1.30am to 4.30am. With Snoopy restless, I would say I caught about 80% of the programme only.
And like I said before, the death of Michael Jackson could be avoided if someone close to him had intervened to what his handlers were putting him through, pushing him to the maximum since he was their golden goose, though it just had not laid a golden egg for a long time.
Now that he has left us physically, Michael Jackson, like every dearly departed person, will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew him personally and he will continue to live for the fans through his music.
