My friend, Mark, who is an architect and sharing a house with a fellow architect, showed me his new garden, which the both of them renovated. He's very proud of their work (but of course) and sent me a stack of photos to show off. LOL
As you can see from these two photos that I picked out, they have dug up the grass lawn and replaced it with crushed granite stone. He said that previously, the grass lawn was always very ugly because of the weather (no sunshine) and high humidity. Now, the granite stone ground surely looks a whole lot neater but it would be blinding if the sun shone on it directly, don't you think so? And also, I think they can't go bear foot in the garden with those stones but then again, they wear shoes even inside the house!Personally, I think this looks nice but if I were to do this for my own garden, I would only do up a corner of it and not entirely! I would feel weird if my garden doesn't have grass!
