My friend, Mark, who is an architect and sharing a house with a fellow architect, showed me his new garden, which the both of them renovated. He's very proud of their work (but of course) and sent me a stack of photos to show off. LOL
As you can see from these two photos that I picked out, they have dug up the grass lawn and replaced it with crushed granite stone. He said that previously, the grass lawn was always very ugly because of the weather (no sunshine) and high humidity.
