Usually, people know Ipoh as the city where beautiful girls are from and the city with no sombong people. I really have no idea how true these two are. Living in Ipoh my whole life, of course I have seen people who are not so beautiful in appearance and those who are utterly sombong.
Well, yesterday, Ipoh made its way on the world map no thanks to the political impasse and power struggle between the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan coalitions. Of course, if I came into power, I would not relinquish it so easily too.
Friends overseas keep asking me how the situation is here in Ipoh. They read in the news that more than a dozen people have been arrested. Well, where I am, everything is normal. Like I say, if you have no business to be there, don't go there unless you could afford to waste a day sitting at the police station.
