It's pretty difficult to find someone with perfect vision these days what with extensive use of the television and computer and smaller screen devices like the Palm, iPhone, PlayStation and even common mobile devices with color screen. And then there's the UV Rays from the bright sun that we subject our eyes to daily when we forget our sunglasses.
About 70% of my friends need the help of glasses and it's scary that some of them started wearing one even before they were ten years old! You can imagine how fed up one would be after depending on glasses for 20 - 30 years so much so that laser eye surgery is the only way to go to get rid of the glasses once and for all.
My namesake, the one who escaped death from 9/11 incident, has already started to research on boston lasik prk. She told me that if there's one thing that she wants in this world, it would be perfect vision. Since it is achievable now and the cost of laser eye surgery is getting more reasonable and with more advanced technology, why not go for it?
Although I do not have perfect vision, neither do I need to wear glasses 24/7, which I am most thankful for. However, I could imagine myself opting for laser eye surgery should I have to depend so heavily on glasses!
