Stolen

My friend sent me a text message earlier today to let me know that he lost his laptop bag, which contained his company assigned laptop, external hard disk, passport, RM800 cash, car registration card and a Dunhill pen.

He couldn't even tell the exact location where his car boot was forced open and the bag stolen. It was just somewhere in Selangor, he said. Well, no matter where it happened, it makes no difference already because his belongings would have been long disposed off.

He wasn't very pleased that I was not sympathetic. Of course I felt his pain but I think he should know better than anyone not to place any valuables in the car, even if it's in the boot. After all, this is already the second time that his car had been broken into. Different cars, of course but still, that experience must have been painful enough to remember for life, right?

If this is the 2nd time his car got broken into I can see why you did not show much sympathy. That is like a clue to tell you not to put anything in your car even if it IS in the trunk! What a dumb @$$. huh?

I know his hassle, but at least he should have learnt his lesson.

In any case, he had everything sorted out already, so my sympathies would not make a difference.
