If you have been following my blog, you would have read about me dreading November. It's the month to renew the road tax and for six months and a year of auto insurance. The other month of road tax renewal is in May. Yes, it's so damn expensive that we have to break it up to two installments.

So, I finally did what I had to do and was surprised to find out that since last month, our road tax has been reduced. This time, I only had to pay almost RM300 where previously, I paid close to RM900 and that's only for six months! That's a savings of almost RM600, thank God! No RM625 fuel rebate never mind, at least we still get almost the same benefits! And that's only for six months!

I understand that the G is trying to bring down road tax for diesel engines to be at par with petrol engines of the same capacity but I could be wrong. In any case, they would still need to further reduce the pump price for diesel because it's still just industrial fuel.

That’s for the future, though. Right now, I’m damn happy to save almost RM600 already!
