Crude Oil price settled below US$90 per barrel today. This is good news but will our Government take the opportunity to lower our pump price soon? They promised to lower it if it dipped below US$92 or US$94 per barrel but now it broke US$90, in view of the lower demand for crude oil because of the slower economy around the world.
I hope that we will get to enjoy a new, lower price. Diesel has risen by more than 200% over the past few months and it is totally unfair. One could say that we are perhaps still paying one of the lowest prices in the region but do bear in mind that the diesel that we buy in gas stations are low grade fuel for industrial use. Price of diesel has to be kept low to maintain low manufacturing costs of goods and transportation.
I think that concerned citizens should continue to put pressure on the authorities and demand lower fuel prices in tandem with world crude oil price fall.
