Although my sister's home is only two years old, and she got it built exactly as she wanted it two years ago, she felt that it is time to do a little home improvement. I don't understand why she takes so much trouble fixing things that do not need to fix like her recent kitchen makeover where she installed new kitchen sinks and besides, it's not as if she gets to spend so much time at home because of the long work hours. In fact, she eats out most days. But then, I guess, I will only understand this when I am a proud homeowner myself.

Over the summer, my sister had a Balinese garden built. Yes, she has sufficient space for that and it did not cost her too much because she just had to bring up the idea and the boyfriend and his father and a couple of their friends would come over to help her. It's a good thing that all four of them are excellent DIY builders.

I think I should blame myself for giving her the idea of a Balinese garden. Well, Paul showed me his new single-handedly built Balinese garden in his New York home that I thought that it would be great to have one in my sister's home as well. I dare not let her have any more new home improvement ideas, frankly, or her boyfriend will make noise. LOL
