When my friend, Jason, changed jobs, the new job does not come with a company car. Well, did you know that he went up the corporate ladder so early in his career that he was given the use of a company car when he was only thirty right up till he was fifty year old and he did not need to own a car at all?
Well, a new job comes with changes and this time, he would have to use his own car but he would be reimbursed accordingly each time his personal car is used for business. He thought that it was fair too and was willing to participate in the company's new Vehicle Reimbursement Program.
I was reminded of his crossroads today when I was introduced to this company, Corporate Reimbursement Services, Inc. or better known as CRS. What CRS does is provide a system for companies with mobile employees to reimburse these employees on the use of their personal vehicle, just like Jason.
A company like CRS is great because they are the middle party who would look after the welfare and benefits of both the employer and employee. They are there to ensure that employees are reimbursed for what they have used, while ensuring that employers have responsible driver employees and paid accordingly, nothing more.
To be frank, I am not sure how many companies with mobile employees engaged the services of companies like CRS. I think that if they do not have a middle party, they should engage one for the good of both employers and employees.
