Phew... it's been a long and emotionally 17 days for many of the people all over the world involved in the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. I tell you even though I am in no way involved in the Games, just watching the athletes compete against each other, even if the Games are supposed to be friendly and aimed at fostering better ties between the participating countries, I get tired already. I guess I am an arm chair athlete!
My father told me that Astro will be airing a repeat of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games opening ceremony but I have no idea when. I guess tonight we will have a live broadcast of the Beijing 2008 closing ceremony on Astro too. I need to check the time and channel, or ask my dad.
Everyone's saying that David Beckham will be there for the closing ceremony because London will be hosting the next Olympic Games in 2012. That is going to be one exciting Games though I am not sure if hoisting it in London will attract as many tourists as hosting it in Beijing because London is one of the most expensive cities in the world and when it's the Olympics, rates could fly off the roof!
