My friend asked me why I am so interested in politics. While it is not surprising that a girl could be this interested, what surprised him was that I never talked bout politics until the elections! Haha... I am not a political blogger and I don't go around letting people who which political party I back.
But even though the 12th Malaysian General Elections are already over, there are still plenty of interesting shows to watch way until the EGMs of the main component parties of Barisan Nasional.
I was in discussion with my friend that the axing of Rafidah Aziz was done ungracefully and while she has been linked to the mis-issuance of Approved Permits scandal, I think that dropping her right now is not the right time. The right time would have been when she lost her Wanita Chief post. That was during Dr. M's time and we know that these two are the best of friends for mutual benefit!
But now that she has won the elections, and not given a cabinet post, at a time when the Barisan Nasional is half crippled, wow I just don’t think this is a right time. Sure, it is the prerogative of the Prime Minister to appoint whomever he deems fit for all the Ministerial posts but hej, Radifah is not the only one with a “scandal” linked to her name. Did you watch “Who wants to be a Billionaire?” on YouTube by ComedyCourt?
Now, Rafidah is fighting back and claiming that the new woman minister does not represent Wanita Umno. Wow… I think we need a doctor to check who has larger balls.
