When my parents bought this home in 1970, they got it second hand. Over the years, the garage was the most neglected area of the house! What I don't like is the dark patch of spilled oil on the garage flooring that will not go away no matter how hard I scrub with industrial cleaning solution. I finally gave up!
This morning, I was talking to a friend who has just completed building his home. He told me that we could tile our garage floor. How come I never thought about that? Ours is just bare concrete flooring and perhaps it's the cement that is making the oil stains so hard to remove.
I was told that we could coat our floor with epoxy and if we follow the four steps correctly, our flooring will last a long time. There are also tiles made specifically for garage floors that come in various colors that we arrange the tiles to form patterns or designs. It's a place to showcase our creativity too!

Check out this image. It's so neat. My own garage is a far cry from it!
