Today's All Soul's Day and we went to the Catholic Cemetery to give prayers to our late grandmother. We only managed to catch up with an aunt, an uncle and a cousin. Our family is scattered all over the world. One is in London, one in Singapore, two in America, one in France and one in Spain. And we have a youngest cousin who was still in bed and did not even want to go with the excuse that he slept late doing his project.
That got me thinking that if my grandmother's children are no longer around, who will diligently pray to her and for her every year on All Soul's Day? Sure, we can give a mass to her and all who have departed but then it's not the same, right?
Anyway, I think that it's our duty to do what we can even if we have to offer prayers to our ancestors during Cheng Beng and All Soul's Day; twice a year.
