It really pissed me off when I discovered from my traffic tracker that a blogger copied my sponsored post and published it onto his/her own blog and submitted it as if it was originally written by him/herself. How low can one get? It is just a short 100-word post, can't he/she write it herself?
I have at times come across people who copied my IDEA by writing on my topic after I published my post and never gave me credit for it. My blog may have lower traffic or less popular, hence there aren't many comments but these people took my idea, write a new post and publish on their own blog, and yet they can garner a slew of comments, as if the idea came from their very own brains.
Well, I was OK with that. But to copy my sponsored post wholesale, with only ONE miserable sentence changed to accommodate a differently assigned keyword is too much.
I have clocked over a thousand sponsored posts and this is the first time I have encountered this. I wonder how many more of my posts have been copied without me knowing.
Of course I have lodged a complaint. If both our posts were reviewed by the same person, I am sure the reviewer will experience a sense of déjà vu but it is going to be difficult to pinpoint where that post came from. I think bloggers like this should be booted out of the marketplace. They give Bloggers a bad name. Take pride in your writing whether it is sponsored or not.
