Why American Citizenship?

My sister, who has been an American permanent resident for more than five years, dropped the bombshell that she is going to Apply for US Citizenship Online. We told her that this would mean foregoing her citizenship in her own motherland but she is adamant and says the benefits of an American Citizenship far outweigh her current status.

At the very least, as an American citizen, she would be able to pass the citizenship to her children and also sponsor us over easily, without the hassle that she is facing now. She would also have the protection of the American government, especially when she travels outside the United States.

She said that since it is so convenient to apply for a citizenship online, why not? Besides, it is way cheaper than hiring a lawyer to do the paperwork for her. By applying online via a user-friendly web-based system, she is guided through the application step-by-step, making sure there are no errors in the application that would hinder her chances. She can also request for customized instructions based on her individual situation and that helps her to fully understand the procedure.

Moreover, with the legislation in America ever-changing, one does not know when the government will tighten the requirements of becoming an American citizen. That's why she has to act fast.
