Caring For A Large Compound

We have a large compound and as my parents grow older and I am being consumed with work, it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for it. A few years ago, I used to mow the lawn myself every month. It was like exercise for me and it was great to expand some energy but it's taking the energy and at least two hours of my time to mow the large lawn and another two hours to collect the grass; something that I could not afford anymore.

Well, I was telling my parents that we should do something about it. We have a few fruit trees; a jack fruit tree, a rambutan tree, a mango tree and two coconut palms. What, did you expect that we would have Plum trees here? LOL

So, even though with trees and less grass, it was still not easy to care for it because the leaves continue to fall and gardening work seems never ending. I suggested that we should at least cement part of the compound besides the driveway or maybe create some walking paths or install a small feng shui pond. That would take up some space but I wonder if there will be maintenance work involved for such a pond. I don't want to get out of one kind of work only to find myself bogged down with some other work!
