My aunt was surprised when I told her that the menu she had planned for the Christmas party she is hosting for her grand-daughter is so out. I can't blame her because this will be the first Christmas party she is hosting. She never did that for her own four children when they were young.

My aunt may be a great Chinese cook but I told her that nowadays, kids like something different, especially when it's a party as special as a Christmas party so she shouldn't prepare fried noodles or curry chicken.

I promised my aunt that I will help her with preparing food for the kids. I have a stack of Christmas candy recipes printed from Celebrations.com that I think the kids will love. My aunt won't be able to prepare these by herself so I will be helping out. I wouldn't mind as long as she is happy if her grand-daughter is happy.

The problem right now is that I have so many tasty Christmas candy recipes with me, I do not know which handful to select. If possible, I would want to prepare all of them! Also, I would need the girl to confirm how many people would be turning up. You know how kids are. They want to come but something unexpected may crop up at the last minute.
