I was supposed to attend my friend's birthday party but it was canceled at the last minute as he had to rush a job for a client. Since it's the last consignment of the year, he doesn't want to carry forward the job, and hopes that once this custom hydraulic hose has been delivered to his client, he could finally relax, and count the year down in peace. 

Meanwhile, he has already booked our time, not only to count the year down but also to celebrate his belated birthday. I don't know if I should attend since I myself am busy, and I don't have time to look for a suitable 2-in-1 gift for him. 

Any ideas?
