What a shock that Ipoh will soon have 23 new hotels. In the past few weeks, we saw the launch of MH Hotels Ipoh and Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites. At the end of March, 2012, we will see the opening of Tune Hotel Ipoh.
Apart from these, I know of the construction of about four other budget hotels all slated to open for business this year. Additionally, the empty plot of land beside Ipoh Parade, which is currently a car park, will also have a hotel built on it.
And then the current central market, which was where Super Kinta was years ago, is rumoured to be torn down and built Hilton Ipoh. I have no idea how true this is but that surely sounds interesting.
