It's Mid-Autumn Festival today. How did you celebrate it? The funny thing is that I already ate more than my share of mooncakes way before today! LOL Just now, kids in my neighbourhood came out in droves with their Chinese lanterns. What a sight, something that I haven't seen for years already, probably because my area has more old folks than young but these kids are of a new generation, and their parents came home to visit THEIR parents during this auspicious Chinese festival. Although today is not a public holiday, it is so apt to have fallen on Saturday so that children could return from the capital city and other places to celebrate with their family in their hometown. Just now, the children and their lanterns reminded me of the time when my brother, sister and I played with our candy wrapper rabbit, rooster and goldfish lanterns. My, that was a LONG time ago!
