Many people fail to understand why I spend so much time and energy taking care of Dino and not Snoopy. They don't realize that taking a pet in is a lifetime commitment and I am responsible for their well-being.
When Dino was younger, he had frequent seizure attacks. It was because we did not know how to manage it. We subsequently were able to keep his attacks farther and farther apart, except that in his old age, he developed a fear for thunderstorm which triggered his attacks.
What pisses me off is that friends would occasional mention in passing that I should put Dino to sleep. I thought I am past that but now that Snoopy is in his twilight years and demanding more care and attention, I am hearing the same things all over again.
I mean, come on, I know these people meant well but they don't even know Dino and Snoopy at all except from what I tell them. Of course, like human beings, there are good days and there are bad patches. How could I kill Dino just because of his occasional fits or kill Snoopy just because he could not sit up by himself?
