A friend was complaining that he was bored. I asked him what he was bored with and he replied life in general. Hah... tell me about that! Could anyone lead a worst life than me taking care of an invalid dog who would cry, whine and struggle for up to eight hours nonstop and I have to sit next to him to try to calm him down and also ensure that he doesn't hurt himself? I tell you, it grates on my nerves and I have lost my patience more than once. I know I shouldn't and that I should be more understanding but patience has never been my virtue.
I have no escape but to complete my task till the end. In contrast, this guy is a single guy working in the capital city, a free agent who could do whatever he likes whenever. He gets to commute to work, travel in the course of work sometimes and also make regular trips back to him hometown. What more does he want??? I would be damned happy if I could be as free as him without commitments and responsibilities!
