Shaky Perak State Government

Since March 8th 2008 General Election where Perak was lost to the opposition by a mere margin, we already know that Perak Government ruled by Pakatan Rakyat is on shaky ground. We have friends in the political circle on both sides and got to know that State Assembly people have been offered millions of Ringgit to crossover, bringing along their seat. Of course, we have no proof but recent events have shown us that those rumours were true.

You see, I always believe that people enter politics, especially mainstream politics not because of political ideology or for the party or state or country. At the top of a politician's concern is first and foremost, himself, then only the party. That's why no matter which party rules the state or country, there's not much difference to the Rakyat because a party is run by various people and people are basically the same, no matter their creed, colour or race. They fight for themselves first.

That's also where corruption comes in. People are easily swayed by money no matter what political banner they represent. In all fairness, Perak should have two by-elections and let the people make a firmer decision this time around.

Sigh.. Perak has fallen into BN.

Well, eibla, I'm totally not surprised. The Pakatan coalition was never a solid one, especially in Perak, where the MB became MB only by virtue of the fact that he's a Malay Muslim. The support just wasn't there.

Also, the two "brothers" whom I shall not name, thought that the State is theirs to run as they like.

Politicians bled the country... sigh...

Hope all these bickering won't affect the people much.

Hee Yit Foon was never happy with her post of deputy speaker. Come on, she should reflect on her own qualifications.

I have said all along that politicians fight for self-interest first and foremost but how come no one believes me?

We have politician friends and they are all the same no matter what ideology they hold. Politics is not dirty, only the people in the game are.

These politicians have no idea what they have destroyed. Ughh... i wish i can give all of them a good smack.

I believed you ms anon, just that i'm quite an idealistic person.

Eibla, my name's Emily. :)

While you're idealistic, I'm a realist. LOL The Chinese call such a person "running dog" and that gives even dogs a bad name.
