When Mobile Number Portability (MNP) was first launched, I was told that I would need to wait MONTHS for it to reach Ipoh. Well, it has been months and it's now available in Ipoh.
While at first I thought that I would like to port my Celcom number to Umobile 018, I am now not sure now that this service is available.
For one, I need to sort out the problem of my shared SIM to separate my voice line from data line. And the I was told that Umobile postpaid is not yet available in Ipoh and even though it will be available a tad later, it would need a 3G phone.
I do have a Nokia 3G phone but I would like to use that for my Celcom data card. I was thinking of using my voice SIM in my iPhone and it is only 2G. SIGH.... I can’t make a decision at all on how to go about it. My main aim is only to reduce my phone bill. Celcom sucks blood, man!
Perhaps by the time I have a decision, I would realize that some other service provider is offering even cheaper packages. After all, Umobile’s currently cheap package is just promotional rate.
