I have a typewriter that I used before I owned a computer but still, there are things that require typing from a typewriter, like filling out forms that cannot be printed from the computer.
The other day, I needed to change the ribbon of my typewriter. I went to Popular bookstore to look for it and was shown a TAPE WRITER instead. LOL After a long search, I found out that a shop still carries typewriter ribbons but I had to take in my typewriter to make sure that their ribbon is compatible with my model.
So I went in with my typewriter and when the lady saw my typewriter, she asked me, "Wah, such an old typewriter, still can use or not?" I was not amused. Of course still can work la, otherwise why would I be fitting it with a new ream of ribbon, right? I wanted to make a bet with her that if my typewriter could still type, that she would give me the ribbon for free. LOL But I curbed my tongue.
