I visited my friend at his home the other day and I was impressed with the way he set up all his gadgets, desktop computer, laptop and netbook where everything is connected to each other and broadband internet wirelessly. I mean, compared to my own network, it's so neat and tidy.
My network was set up back in early 1990s and back then, wireless was so expensive. I had a friend to help me with it and he advised me to buy CAT5e cables, which I did, and over estimated the length of the cable that I should get, paying extra for the unnecessary length too!
Now, I would like to change my whole set up to wireless as well so that each gadget is also independent from each other hence if there's a lightning strike, like it had happened twice this past few months already, the gadgets would be isolated.
Well, the idea is excellent but I am not prepared to spend money on something that is not broken yet.
