Last month, I wrote that my mother is suffering from Osteo-arthritis and that she has seen slight improvement by drinking a supplement. This is a very expensive German imported drink for joints.
After buying three boxes from a friend’s friend where each box of 22 sachets is RM178, my mother thought that she should buy directly from the agent because it is a hassle to order from the friend, who in turn has to order from the sub-agent. Since our friend is not gaining anything, we really felt bad to disturb him.
I called up the office of the main agent in Ipoh and she explained to me briefly about their products and she said that as soon as we make a purchase, we will automatically be an “agent”. I specifically asked her if there is any extra fee and she said no. So I told my mother that she would be better off buying direct and she agrees.
And guess what? When she was in the office, the agent told her that she could be an “agent” once she has made a purchase, just like what she told me over the phone. Only thing is that she did not mention that the products that we would have to purchase total close to RM1000!
In the end, we decided to buy RM1000 worth of drinks to enjoy the benefits of being an agent. Besides health drinks, they also carry weight loss pills which seems highly popular right now, among other health supplements. However, we don’t plan to sell anything to our friends or family members in turn even though from what I understand, we will receive an introductory fee or something like that.
Now, my mother has so many packets of joint supplement drinks that could last her till May 2009! LOL Since she says they work, then it’s OK, right?
