I read that Malaysia is considered to be the fourth country that is least affected by the credit crunch in the United States. I don't know how accurate that report is; the evening news mentioned that we should all brace ourselves for a recession. It will probably happen but I do wonder where the bottom is.

My friends who are in the money market are very worried. I used to ask a friend of mine, a commodities broker, why he drinks and smokes non-stop and he replied that I will never understand. Indeed I do! I too would be doing the same if I were in his shoes; always in the wrong position!

Whatever it is, I think that we shouldn't bring on so much pressure on ourselves. This bad patch will pass, as it always will. When there's down, there's always up. Just sit tight. I just hope that by the time the economy recovers, my friends would not end up being chronic smokers and drinkers who would need the help of an alcohol rehab center to kick the habit.

Maybe they would think that it is an "IN" thing to get themselves in a drug treatment center like Hollywood celebrities do!
