My new neighbor who just bought the house opposite of mine is having major renovations done on it. And I have to suffer from noise pollution everyday for the next three months from 8am to 5pm, except for Sundays and rainy days!
Anyway, this guy lives in the same street but he wanted a corner lot so he bought this and sold that old house to a family member and bought this instead.
Everyone has been saying that he s stupid to spend so much money renovating an old house and that it is not worth it. With that kind of money, he could almost buy a luxury home in the Corpus Christi real estate development or something.
However, he told us that he was lucky to have secured this home before the fuel price hike. He said that house prices continued to rise despite that, although his renovation cost has gone up. Right now, it stands at RM95,000 and he has yet to take into account installation of pumbling and electrical wiring and an electric gate.
Do you think it's worth to spend more than RM100,000 on renovation and furnishing? With the price of his house, he could use the total sum to purchase a better house in a better neighborhood!
