A couple of days ago, I was talking to a blogger friend who has branched off her blogging activities to include affiliate programs. She told me of her minor success in clinching a total sale of $30 last month.
I told her that I once thought of becoming an affiliate of this program as well and my concern was in driving traffic to my site. So I asked her how she tracks her visitors and she replied, "I don't know."
This morning, I was told of the Free Web Tracking Tool by iWebTrack™ which helps us to track out visitor behavior, where they came from, using which search engine, how long they stayed and on which page, did they return for subsequent visits, etc.
Upon signing up with iWebTrack™, we can obtain the tracking code and embed it in our web pages. Tracking is real time and we can even get out statistics directly from the toolbar of our browser.
Those who like this free tool can upgrade to the premium plan which provides even more features. While some people think that it is not good to keep tracking our traffic, and that we should just concentrate on blogging, well, I think that knowing our statistics is important, especially when we our websites and blogs are our commodities!
