I never knew there is a connection between searching the web and saving the Earth but last night, I was told of a search engine called Carbon Neutral Search Engine that is based in the United Kingdom that would offset a minimum of 300g of CO2 per search query we make.
This idea was developed by fooke limited. By coming up with such a search engine, they are helping us to do our part in reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and at the same time educate us the need to reduce carbon footprint and save energy.
According to the Carbon Neutral Search Engine, they are planning other energy projects to help offset CO2 in the future, on top of the current use of Climate Care and the Carbon Fund.

You may also want to check out http://www.freerice.com/index.php. It is a vocabulary game. Every time you get a right answer, 20 grains of rice are donated through the United Nations to help end world hunger. It is kind of addictive!
I will have to take a look at this Save the Earth web searching. We could certainly use more onscientious websites.
