Have you heard of Sprint Fidelis Recall? Almost two months ago, the manufacturer, Medtronic Inc., issued a product recall for their defibrillator leads which were the main suspects in a few patient deaths.
Each time a patient is forced to insert or embed a foreign object into his body, I believe that he is exposing himself to an added risk. However, for most of them, they have no choice so it is the manufacturer's responsibility to ensure that these medical instruments, appliances and accessories are not harmful to people's health. Otherwise, what is the point of seeking medical treatment when it will only bring early death, right?
