This weekend, Wei Wei already booked me to help her with her sewing project. Her school is quite lousy. Any school that forces kids to take up sewing is lousy! Haha! I still remember the days when we had to do cross stitch, knitting and other needle projects and boy, I hated them!
My sister was subjected to worse projects. She had to do pencil case, skirt and even tablecloth. Some students had all the luck. Their mothers know how to sew and would help them complete the projects. My sister and I had no one to depend on except ourselves and naturally, our sewing could not compare to that of the mothers of our classmates.
Ironically, although I hated all these during my primary school years, my parents enrolled me into a sewing class when I was in Form 3. They thought that I would fail my SRP and I would at least have learnt some skill to survive even without an SRP certificate. Cheh... they think that their daughter is so stupid meh???
And you bet I hated every lesson although I attended every lesson. I had no chance to escape! I am glad that I don't have to hold a needle now to make a living!
