I received an email forward from a friend about a lady who was slashed, robbed and carjacked after being "touched" at the back with a torchlight looking thingamajig.
While there is no way to verify if the story is true or just a rumour, because I don't recall reading it in the papers, (wait a minute, since when do I read the papers lol), it could possibly happen. The article says that these are made in China and if not mistaken, "weapons" like these are illegal in Malaysia.
This specific case may just be make believe but in fact, I do believe these torchlight lookalikes can be easily bought, maybe in pasar malams or those $1, $2, $3 shops.
Anyway, if you do see suspicious characters holding these torch lights, even if they are wearing the Rela or Rukun Tetangga pullover, better leave the scene.
Come to think of it, perhaps I watch too much wrestling!
