My cousin, Jasmine, has worked and lived in London, England, for the past five years. She told me that she is sick and tired of the perpetual wet weather there. Everywhere she went, during her holidays to Ireland, Scotland and Wales, she is hard pressed to find some decent sun.
Her fiancé and her are thinking of buying a home as an investment and she told me they are currently looking at property in Florida.
She said that while waiting for the value of the property to appreciate, they could treat it as a holiday home and go over to Florida every winter, to escape from the weather and get some much needed sun and pack in some surfing hours!
She told me that Florida property is actually getting more and more popular and appeal to British investors so they too want a piece of the action as well. She also thinks that with a holiday home in Florida, they could make an annual pilgrimage to Disney World in Orlando!
